Equine imports coming from Argentina are suspended

Facing the sanitary alert state presented in Argentina due to the presence of the disease equine viral arteritis, the Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute, ICA, suspended imports of equines coming from that country.


Vaccination against classical swine fever will be suspended in areas from eight departments

The Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute (ICA) informed that this June 30th, the vaccination against classical swine fever (CSF) in Quindío, Risaralda, Valle del Cauca, Caldas (with exception of Caldas middle Magdalena), Antioquia (with exception of middle Magdalena zone, Urabá and Low Cauca), Cauca (north zone), Chocó (central south zone) and Tolima (Cajamarca municipality) will be suspended.


Mobilization of pigs from Arauca Department alerted

The Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute (ICA) alerted the community, authorities, consumers and cattle farmers about the importance of obeying Resolution 00841 from last February 22nd, that established suspension of pigs mobilization from Arauca Department, due to the sanitary risk that represents this activity with grave implications for health and economy.


Cattle farmers must vaccinate close to 22 million 170 thousand bovine

The Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute, ICA, established the first vaccination cycle against foot and mouth disease and bovine brucellosis for the whole country, which will go from May 3rd to June 16th this year. There will not be vaccination in the free zone without vaccination in Choco´s Uraba and in San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina Department, as well in the islands of Gorgona and Malpelo.
