Colombian agriculture entrepreneurs continue bringing good news for the country’s economy, since they are opening new exports markets for diverse products with the help of institutions like Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute (ICA).

Starting now the country’s growers are required to make good use of seeds for their crops, thanks to the regulation modification that the government issued that looks to stop use of bagged and smuggled seeds whose usage could bring sanitary and serious problems for the country, economically affect production and cause closing of trade opportunities overseas.

The Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute ICA, put it for public consult by citizens and the rest parties interested until next April 11th 2010, the resolution project that aims to dictate dispositions for plant imports and exports, plant products, regulated items, animals and their products.

The Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute, ICA, initiated the adoption of a series of measures that will allow flower exporters to speed up procedures required for their products shipment to American and European markets in St. Valentine time.

In order to avoid losses in productive systems, the Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute, ICA, invited the country’s growers to adopt measures that allow them to counteract current climatic conditions that have generated frosts in some zones of the Andean region, especially in Cundinamarca-Boyaca high plateau.
