Illegal seeds destroyed
Bogota August 26, 2011. Five officials from the Colombian Agricultural Institute, ICA, on August 24, went to the Department of Huila and seized and destroyed seed material that had been previously sealed by the entity, which had presumably and initially been earmarked for planting, in response to that ordered under Resolutions 141, 142 and 143 of June 16, 2011. The decision made in these resolutions was due to the noncompliance of the legislation in force regarding seeds for planting.
