    The ICA defined strategies for controlling the Hindu Mite
    Bogota, June 14, 2017, Through the inspection and monitoring actions carried out by the ICA, it has been determined the presence of the Hindu mite in citrus plantations in departments of the Atlantic Coast and central zone of the country but it has not been found in the main citrus producing and exporting area of Colombia. For this reason, the ICA designs strategies for its integrated management, which reduce its economic impact and avoid its dispersion.

    Bogotá, June 9, 2017, The Colombian Agricultural Institute, ICA has canceled the license and withdrawn from sale 90% of agricultural pesticides with toxicological category I and II, which are the object of the reevaluation process according to the established in the Resolution ICA 3497 (2014), due to these products not exceed the minimum risks established to prevent damages to human health and the environment.
